Weight Loss Exercises

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

We humans are natural wanderers but instead of moving we mostly stay in a cage like situation these days.  But instead of moving around everywhere we hardly move from one place to another short distance because of our lifestyle changes.  Now we hardly move out of our living room and the office room.

Not so long ago, people who work in field work hard so that they had enough exercise on a daily basis and hence they lived a healthy lifestyle and their food habit was also very healthy with no junk food, but now it has changed dramatically with no exercise and eating junk food.

Exercise does not always mean that you need to do it in a professional body builder way but should do it in a light as well as gentle way so as to you exert at least some.

Some good tips on weight loss are:

Getting good quality sleep and it is very essential if you are planning for losing weight.  At least eight hours of sleep is a must.  The most easy and best way to exercise is by way of walking.  At least walking 30 minutes a day is a great way of losing weight without exerting yourself much.

Body Mass Index and Weight Loss

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Body Mass Index is the way to determine whether the person has healthy weight for his height. Body Mass Index for a person can be calculated by dividing his weight in kilograms by square of his height in meters. Body Mass Index helps us to identify whether a person is under weight, over weight, obese or normal. If Body Mass Index is between 20 to 25 then the person has normal weight. If Body Mass Index is less than 20 then the person is under weight and if it is more than 25 then the person is overweight. If Body Mass Index is more than 30 then the person is obese. Therefore Body Mass Index helps us to determine the state of our health and fitness.

If a person is over weight or obese then it can cause serious health problems like heart attack, Blood Pressure, Diabetes etc. Body Mass index may not be good health and fitness indicator always. If a person has lean muscle then his Body Mass Index will be more which indicates that he is over weight. Therefore Body Mass Index will not help athletes and body builders. They need to follow different technique to determine their fitness.

Weight loss with Diet

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

One of the most important mantra to achieve weight loss is Eat Right.  This is the simplest and best way to move forward when it comes to losing weight.  But most of the Americans tend to do it the reverse, as they tend to over eat regularly and then rue over it and then start to Eat Right.  In other words it is never too late for losing weight.  The former is easier than the latter, i.e., eating it right in the first instance rather than trying it after becoming overweight.  And even those try to lose weight try to stray away from their aim and end up eating more than they should and again aggravating it much more.

One another way to move in your moto of losing weight is to stick to natural diet and stick to your exercise.  Without proper exercise and natural diet you really cannot achieve the desired result no matter how less you eat or how hard you exercise to lose weight.  Many think that weight loss consists more of technical aspect than an easy way, which in fact is not true.  As a thumb rule you can still lose weight even if you eat what you have been eating regularly if only if you could follow the rule of eating natural foods and exercise.
